19 Hobbies

I was pleased to see that there is a Garden app, but after reading reviews both of my 23 Things compadres and elsewhere, I decided not to try that one.  Which is too bad - it would be handy to have something like that.  Right now I keep track with spreadsheets and printed logs I've made on the laptop.

Rather than the Sibley Bird app, I have the Audobon Birds pro, which I think was a free app of the day  awhile ago. What with the gardens and birdfeeders we have, it's nice to be able to identify some of the different birds we have in the yard.  It has a lot of pictures, lets you set limits on area so you're not seeing birds from Florida when you're trying to figure out who the new guest at the birdfeeder is, and it also has birdcalls.  I mostly use it on my tablet but it would also work on my phone.

Vivio looks interesting, but I don't know that I'd use it. I've been known to pick wine because it has a Dog on the label, so I'm not a "connoisseur".  I did recommend Cork.d to a friend who is a connoisseur. ;)

I recommended RoadNinja to my husband, who travels extensively for work; so far he likes it. He usually flies, but the last road trip he did he found Road Ninja worked well.

I like Spotify - I listen to it quite a bit. I also have Pandora, Slacker, TuneIn (Radio stations) and the SiriusXM app.  We have a few subscriptions, but the Sirius in my car sounds awful because they dedicate so much bandwidth to Howard Stern, and Oprah. It sounds better just streaming it through my phone and the car bluetooth.  XM doesn't have that issue. ;)  Remember this when you're car shopping!
